Life Vice Presidents

 

1      The role

 

            Under Cumnor Minors FC’s Rules and Constitution, we make special provision to recognise people who have made a special contribution to the Club, by awarding the honorary position of Life Vice-Presidents.

 

            This role carries no operational, executive or financial responsibility for the Club. It is our way of thanking people for their dedication, and continuing to benefit from their skills, knowledge and influence.

 

            Life Vice-Presidents are expected to:

 

·        Provide guidance and support to the Club’s Officers and Committee when requested

·        Promote the values, ethics, activities and interests of the Club externally

·        Encourage and attract financial contributions to and support for the Club

·        Attend Club events and meetings by invitation as a non-voting observer.

 

2      The people

 

            The position of Life Vice President is only open to people who:

 

·        Have made a sustained and outstanding commitment and highly effective contribution to the Club, in any capacity.

 

·        Are willing to undertake the role and promote the Club’s interests in perpetuity through their qualities, abilities and networks.

 

·        Are nominated and approved in line with the process below.

 

 

3      The process

 

The Club appoints new Life Vice Presidents at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year by being nominated, seconded and approved by Club members.

 

The person nominating a new Life Vice President at an AGM must make a short statement about the nominee’s contribution to support the nomination.

 

There is no upper limit on the total number of Life Vice Presidents or the number of new positions created each year.
